I (Dan) pour each and every Farmer's Son Co. candle by hand within my Winnipeg production studio. All scent develop and creation is done in-house using fragrance bases sourced from Australia, the United States + the EU Our Palo Santo is ethically harvested from a reputable farm in Ecuador. We have documentation ensuring that our source farm is only harvesting wood from trees that have died naturally, or from branches that have naturally fallen. Our source pays their farm workers fairly + is committed to the reforestation of Palo Santo within Ecuador, planting over 40K trees in the past four years. All bundles are tied and tagged by Dan and a team of family and friends in Winnipeg We visited our new Mexican glassware source this summer (June 2019) just outside of Mexico City. This family owned factory employees close to 20 workers and ensures that innovation, safety of team members and family atmosphere are at the forefront of their business venture. All factory employees are paid a fair wage and the business follows Mexican laws. All product is produced using recycled glassware - ensuring an eco-friendly option that we can share with our shoppers Designed by Dan + produced to his specifications, our Farmer's Son Co. rustic iron candle holders are produced by a family owned workshop in Moradabad, India. The workshop has been in operation since 1995 and we have been provided with documentation ensuring that local labour practices are adhered to and that workshop complies with Indian business laws and BSCI (international compliance)
All of our soy wax is sourced from a leading manufacturer based in New Jersey, USA. Our supplier is a leader in the cosmetic and home fragrance wax industry and complies with all state and federal laws. We are committed to offering a pure soy wax and as such have documentation from suppliers ensuring that wax is free of possible petroleum by-product. Our Palo Santo is ethically harvested from a reputable farm in Ecuador.
